AVONDALE, Az – I’ve got to say one thing, I’ve really enjoyed this new package this season, but I’m really excited to see it on a 1-mile track this weekend. Qualifying really mixed things up for fantasy NASCAR this weekend. I’m going to be focusing on plays that I think have very solid place differential upside this weekend, and should have no problem moving through the field on Sunday.

Kevin Harvick – $10,800 – Harvick struggled in qualifying on Friday, and became a must play for me in fantasy. He was the clear favorite coming into the race, and now he will score even more points with place differential. He’s won four of the last five races here, and would have won last year if the rain had held off just a little longer. This track fits the type of driver that Harvick is, and there’s no reason not to pick him for fantasy.

Johnson will officially start fifth, but will go to the back at the start of the race. He will be scored from 5th, so it’s really tough to take him in a double up or 50/50 game. Kyle Busch starting on the pole has a lot of laps led upside, but I’m concerned with him staying out front for long. I’m going to make off great, or regret not having him a lot this weekend.

Brad Keselowski – $9,700 – There’s one thing that hasn’t changed all week for me, I’m extremely high on the Penske team. Only Kevin Harvick has a higher average running position over the last six races here. Not only has Keselowski been solid at Phoenix, he has the highest average finish over the last 12 1-mile racetracks. I really like Keselowski and Logano this weekend, and I will probably have way too much exposure to both. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is another guy you want to strongly consider getting into your lineups at this price tag.

Ryan Newman – $7,500 – I always like to compare how a driver has done in the past, and where that driver will start on Sunday. With Newman starting 20th, I think he’s an excellent play. He doesn’t always run in the top 10, but has been a great closer here at Phoenix. Newman comes in with the fifth best average finish over the last four races here, and five straight top 11 finishes. I like Newman in all game types this weekend, and I will be playing him a lot.

AJ Allmendinger – $6,300 – I do a few articles and videos weekly, and I saved this pick exclusively for KickntheTires. Allmendinger is a guy I like to target on flat tracks, and he’s been good throughout his career here at Phoenix. Since joining JTG Daugherty Racing, he’s scored solid place differential in two of four races here. I love his price tag this weekend, and I don’t see a lot of people taking him. I also like Danica Patrick and Aric Almirola in this price tag as well.

Ty Dillon – $5,400 – Dillon is going to be a very popular value play this weekend, and he’s a guy that I’m going to be using a lot. Dillon will be starting 28th on Sunday, and I think he’s in a good spot for a top 20 finish. He has four straight top ten finishes here in the XFINITY series, and finished 27th in a cup car last year. The equipment is much better than any other driver in this price range, and he’s looks to be a very safe option in all formats.
