While former driver Chris Buescher is heading to JTG Daugherty Racing in 2017, sponsor Love’s Truck Stops is sticking with Front Row Motorsports (FRM) and Landon Cassill.

Love’s will ride on Cassill’s No. 34 Ford for 18 races in the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, beginning with the season-opening Daytona 500, in an agreement that continues a five-year relationship between the convenience store company and FRM.

Last season Love’s sponsored Buescher for 19 events, riding along with the Texan as he earned an improbable rain-shortened victory at Pocono Raceway and snuck into the top 30 late in the regular season to claim a berth in the Chase, NASCAR’s former championship format.

While Cassill has yet to make a playoff appearance, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native’s statistics show that the move is far from a downgrade. Cassill’s 26.3 average finish last season was a mere .2 positions lower than Buescher’s (26.1), and the 27-year-old sat sixth among all active drivers in lap completion in 2016 having completed 97.7% (10,286 of 10,523) of all possible circuits.

“I can’t wait to work with Love’s,” Cassill said in a release. “They’ve been a great partner with Front Row over the years. I got to spend some time with them last year, so I already know they’re a great group. They use their program in a really smart way that’s good for their business, and I look forward to getting more involved with that. We’re going to have some fun.”
