After five years apart, Elliott Sadler and Pinnacle Foods’ Armour brand will again ride together in 2017.

JR Motorsports (JRM) announced Wednesday that the food product distributor will serve as Sadler’s primary sponsor for four races in the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) season, covering the Virginian’s No. 1 Chevrolet for races at Bristol Motor Speedway (April 22), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 27), Daytona International Speedway (June 30) and Darlington Raceway (Sept. 2), as well as four races in 2018.

Armour will also sponsor Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Kasey Kahne for one of his select 2017 NXS starts in the No. 88 Chevrolet at Talladega Superspeedway (May 6), while additionally joining rookie William Byron’s No. 9 entry for 2017 and ’18.

“Armour’s commitment to JR Motorsports over the last three years has been a vital part of what we’ve accomplished in that time,” JRM General Manager Kelley Earnhardt Miller said in a release.  “We’ve had a great relationship since they first came on board, but there is still more we want to achieve together.  We’re looking ahead to continuing this partnership, and there’s no doubt Elliott will be a strong brand ambassador for them.”

Armour last rode with Sadler in 2011, when the Virginian drove to a runner-up result in the NXS standings.

Sadler, 41, made his debut in the NXS in 1995. The JRM driver has 13 victories, 80 top fives and 177 top 10s in Xfinity Series competition, and has finished no worse than sixth in the series standings since his return to full-time competition in the series in 2011, with three runner-up championship results.

The 2017 NXS season will begin with the Feb. 25 PowerShares QQQ 300.
