Kaz Grala claims first Camping World Truck Series pole at Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kaz Grala has claimed the pole award for tonight’s season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway, his first-career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole award.

Grala, 18, will led GMS Racing in a sweep of the top three positions. Teammates Johnny Sauter and Spencer Gallagher followed in second and third, respectively.

Christopher Bell and Timothy Peters completed the top five, with Brett Moffitt, Matt Crafton, Ben Rhodes, Joe Nemechek and Korbin Forrister rounding out the top 10.

With a deep entry list, 10 drivers failed to make the evening’s race.

They were: Timothy Viens, Norm Benning, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Spencer Boyd, Bryan Dauzat, Brandon Brown, TJ Bell, Chris Fontaine, Jordan Anderson and Parker Kligerman.

Coverage for the NextEra Energy Resources 250 will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR .
