Hyatt will continue their presence in the Verizon IndyCar Series as the hotel chain confirmed Friday that they will return as an associate sponsor for Graham Rahal for 2017.
The announcement came during the weekend of the opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, wherein the company rode on Rahal’s No. 15 Honda for the first race of the season.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLLR) will stay at Hyatt-branded hotels throughout the 2017 IndyCar Series schedule as part of the announcement, while Hyatt themselves will offer occasional opportunities for World of Hyatt members to gain access to VIP experiences during race weekends throughout the season.
“We’re excited to be working with World of Hyatt for a second season as our official hotel sponsor,” RLLR co-owner Bobby Rahal said in a release. “We have been part of the Hyatt family for many years, and look forward to welcoming even more World of Hyatt guests into our world at the racetrack.”
Graham Rahal’s No. 15 will carry the “World of Hyatt” symbol throughout the season. The Ohioan earned a 17th-place result in St. Petersburg.
“World of Hyatt is about connecting our community to the people, places and experiences at the heart of their world – both within and beyond the walls of our hotels,” said Debra Goetz, senior vice president of corporate marketing for Hyatt. “RLLR is part of the extended Hyatt family, and we are thrilled to build on our sponsorship to give our passionate fans a one-of-a-kind experience they will always remember.”
