Stewart Friesen Race Recap

After a 22nd-place qualifying effort for the Halmar Friesen Racing team, the race would not unfold as expected.

As Friesen was working his way to the front of the pack, the No. 52 fell victim to a low-grip surface. The truck came out from under him with virtually no way to save it. At the time, Friesen was running 15th and ready to make his next pass.

The damage sustained would bring an early end to the night for Friesen and the team. They would ultimately finish 32nd.

Stew says…

“This was not what we needed coming off of a long five week break. I’m not sure what happened, the truck got loose going into the corner and our day was over.

We are putting this behind us and moving on to Charlotte next week. The team has prepared a great truck and I am confident we will get a strong finish.”

See You Next Time…

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will return next week, May 19, to race under the lights in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
