GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Adding to its commitment to invest $1.33 billion into the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant in Georgetown, Ky., Toyota Motor Company is also stepping up to become the Official Vehicle of Kentucky Speedway, which will not only benefit the track but NASCAR fans, as well.

“Toyota has achieved incredible success at its plant in Kentucky and also in NASCAR racing,” said Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger. “We could not be adding a better or more significant partner. It is a dream for us to work with the local dealer groups and the Georgetown plant to promote the Toyota brand and the exciting racing taking place at Kentucky Speedway.

Simendinger was referring to the facility, located about 50 miles from the track, that employees 8,000 Kentuckians and has built more than 11 million Toyota vehicles over its 30-year history. In fact, the very first Toyota to roll off the assembly line is on display in the lobby.

Named the “Most American Made” car by Cars.com, Toyota and Kentucky Speedway are making fans a part of this official sponsorship by designating parking areas specifically for Toyota drivers. If a fan shows up in a Toyota they will park in the Toyota Section. The same parking benefits are available for Scion owners and Lexus Tacoma owners. The benefit for Toyota-driving fans comes from parking that is closer to the entrance of the track and areas designated for their specific model of car to make it easier to find following the race. So, fans with a Camry will be in the Camry Section of the Toyota Lot. At this time, it is unknown where drivers still rocking a crossed-mullet shag hairstyle and cruising in their 1982 Toyota Celica Supra will be parking.

Additionally, if fans are interested in purchasing a new Toyota, the track and auto maker will use the upcoming Quaker State 400 on July 8 and future events as a “marketing platform” to get them up close and personal with their potential new ride.

“Toyota is thrilled to be taking another step forward with NASCAR by becoming the Official Vehicle of Kentucky Speedway and Camry, the Official Pace Car of the Quaker State 400,” said Scott Wracher, General Manager, Toyota Motor Sales North America, Cincinnati Region. “The all-new 2018 Camry will surprise current Camry owners and the competition with its dramatic new styling, class leading handling, and innovative safety features. The partnership includes the marketing efforts of our surrounding dealers groups in Cincinnati, Lexington, and Louisville and the hard work and dedication of over 8,000 team members building Camrys at the Georgetown facility.”
