SPARTA, Ky. — Less than 10 hours removed from a top 10 run in Thursday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Kyle Busch sat atop the charts in the weekend’s lone XFINITY Series practice.

Busch set a quick time of 29.607 seconds to top Friday’s morning practice for the Alsco 300. It proved the first and only session for the series after Thursday’s planned on-track activity was scrubbed by intermittent afternoon rain.

Ryan Blaney slotted in second with a time of 29.744 seconds, with Friday runner-up Brandon Jones (29.794), Tyler Reddick (29.811) and Erik Jones (29.860) rounding out the top five. Brennan Poole, Daniel Hemric, Ty Dillon, Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick completed the top 10.

The session, which began shortly after 8:30 a.m., saw two no crashes, though separate cautions for debris flew over the practice’s 85 minutes.

All 43 entrants set a time during the session, with Reddick running a session-high 61 laps.

The XFINITY Series will return for Coors Light Pole qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Alsco 300 is slated for 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
