CHARLOTTE, N.C— In collaboration with Comcast, NASCAR unveiled the new series logo for the NASCAR XFINITY Series before their playoff media day began in Uptown Charlotte.

The goal of the logo is to provide a more modern look, while representing what the series is now and as a look into the future of the series. The new logo will feature a rectangular figure with the new NASCAR bar logo, featured earlier this year. The logo will be consistent with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series logo unveiled earlier this Heat.

“I think it’s clean, sharp, and consistent with the way NASCAR has been branding themselves. You know, it’s similar to the Monster logo. It’s more rectangular now. The new NASCAR logo is simple. I think it will look good on the fire suits and apparel. I am happy that XFINITY is still happy, innovative, and moving forward just pushing this series further and further along,” said Blake Koch, driver of the No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing, about the new series logo.

The new logo for the XFINITY series will begin in 2018. The logo for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is still in design.

Seriously? The Xfinity logo is so large it puts focus on it instead of Nascar. I guess the racing is only secondary.
