Fan activities highlight Talladega weekend

While the intensity amps up on the track going into the Alabama 500 and fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, fans can enjoy numerous experiences to get the most out of their experience at the 2.66-mile facility.

After the day is done, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers will participate in an autograph session from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. CT in Legend’s Village. Fans will need to obtain wristbands at the Guest Services Offices outside of O.V Hill South Grandstand Section L.

On Friday evening, fans can head out to Talladega Boulevard, home of Party Central, for the highly entertaining “Big One on the Boulevard”. Fans will be able to compete in games including SlopFest, Bump Draft and Poop, Talk Derby to Me, and Poop, Scoop, and Boogie. Several NASCAR drivers and personalities will oversee the festivities.

Monster Energy will also be bringing the Bellator MMA Fight ring to Talladega on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. CT. The fight will consist of four bouts featuring regional fighters. From 3 p.m to 4 p.m. CT, fans will be able to meet “Iron” Michael Chandler and Roy “Big Country” Nelson at the Monster Energy display in the Fan Zone.

Following the action on Saturday of the fred’s 250 and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, fans with a ticker to the Alabama 500 can enjoy the Colt Ford Concert Powered by American Ethanol at 7 p.m. CT. Tim Dugger and DJ Michaelis will open for Ford.

Children will have the opportunity on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. CT to enjoy “Kids Movie Night” in the Fox Sports 1 Dome, which will be located to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. the movie “Cars” will be played for children who have either a Saturday or Sunday Kid’s ticket will be able to attend.

Before the stars of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series take to the track for the Alabama 500, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, and Ty Dillon will join Donnie Allison, Eddie Wood, and Len Wood on the start-finish line for a special question and answer session. Fans can upgrade their pre-race pit pass to enjoy the session. Fans will also be able to take a stroll down pit road, stand at the red-carpet entrance of the driver’s meeting, and experience driver introductions stage side before the race.
