A win by Johnny Sauter, driver of the No. 21 for GMS Racing, at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night not only was a lock into the championship four for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, but the 400th win overall for the engine program at Hendrick Motorsports.

“Congratulations to Rick Hendrick and everyone in the engine shop on their 400th win,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President, Performance Vehicles, and Motorsports. “Four hundred trips to Victory Lane is an incredible accomplishment. It serves as a testament to all of the hard work by Rick and the team at Hendrick Motorsports Engine Department over the years. They have been consistently great day-in and day-out for a long time. We are very proud that all of those 400 wins have been in Chevrolets.”

The engine program at Hendrick Motorsports consists of 13 engineers who design and manufacture each component of the engine. The engine program at Hendrick provides motors to teams in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series, and in the Truck Series. The program strives to build quality, reliable and dependent engines to compete for poles, wins, and championships.
