As she prepares for her final NASCAR start in the 60th running of the Daytona 500, Danica Patrick spilt the beans on the second half of the “Danica Double” at the Indianapolis 500 in May.

Since she announced her retirement at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November 2017, there was numerous speculation of where she would end up for both races. At Miami, Roger Penske said that there was no room at the inn for the Indy 500. In December, Chip Ganassi told reporters at Performance Racing Industry Show that talks with Patrick were dead. In January, Patrick’s camp announced the return of GoDaddy and that she would be joining Premium Motorsports for the Daytona 500.

After her Daytona 500 plans were announced, speculation continued for the Indy 500. After a long day at Daytona 500 Media Day, Patrick slipped up when asked about what her plans for the race were.

“I didn’t have time to meet up with Ed and the people that….did I really say that out loud?” Patrick stated to reporters. “Did I just do that? I’ve never done that in my career.”

Shortly after her statement, she fled the scene of media members. Ed Carpenter Racing has yet to confirm whether Patrick would run with them.
