On Monday, INDYCAR announced organizational changes ahead of the 2019 season.

The reorganization is a result of the resignation of C.J O’Donnell, former chief marketing officer at INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Jay Frye will become president of the series, effective Jan. 1. Frye will also add Marketing and Communications to his responsibilities. He has served as the head of INDYCAR’s Competition and Operations departments since November 2015.

Frye joined Hulman & Company, the parent company of INDYCAR, as Chief Revenue Officer in 2013, leading efforts of INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway in sponsorship sales, licensing and account services. In 2014, Frye and his team secured Verizon as a title sponsor as well as expanded deals of several other corporate partners.

In addition, INDYCAR announced that Mark Sibla, INDYCAR Chief of Staff in Competition and Operations, will expand his role to become the Chief of Staff for all INDYCAR departments.

Curt Cavin, INDYCAR Vice President of Communications will also fill a new role as INDYCAR Vice President of Marketing. He will report directly to Frye.

These changes in INDYCAR are part of the overall organizational changes of Hulman & Company.
