When the green flag waves for the Dead On Tools 250, Ryan Vargas will have a new sponsor on his No. 6 JD Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro SS, Newegg Commerce.

The North American e-retailer joins primary sponsor Swann Security on the 21-year-old’s Chevrolet. The sponsorship continues to increase Newegg’s connection to the automotive industry as Newegg Auto recently debuted.

Vargas is a graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. In 2018, driving for Rev Racing, the La Mirada, Calif. native made his NASCAR debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (now ARCA Menards Series East).

Since then, the NASCAR Next alumnus advanced up, into the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Initially he brought awareness to craniosynostosis, a condition he was born with. Cranio Care Bears emblazoned his cars in four of his first six Xfinity starts. Then, a fantasy TikTok paint scheme on iRacing brought Vargas’ influence in the growing social media platform to life.

TikTok signed on to sponsor several races. Vargas was already actively engaging on the platform, growing his own, and NASCAR’s fan base ever since. He also engages with the fan base on iRacing through several different leagues, including CORE and Monday Night Racing, as well as races he hosts from time to time.

“Ryan’s influence in the world of racing is undeniable,” said Andrew Choi, Director of Brand Marketing at Newegg. “He represents a youthful movement in professional auto racing, and he connects with tech-savvy fans in a way that aligns perfectly with our core customer base. As a company based a mere eight miles from Ryan’s birthplace in La Mirada, we celebrate local success stories like his, and we are proud to lend our support to Ryan as he continues his rise up the NASCAR ranks.”

One part of the Newegg’s sponsorship of Vargas is a giveaway of a start-of-the-art Gaming PC worth $4,300. The Adenine Alpha002-AT Gaming Desktop features an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics and video cards. Vargas’ Newegg Chevrolet is also etched into the side of the custom Gaming PC.

To date, Vargas’ best finish in the Xfinity Series was eighth last season at Texas Motor Speedway. He has three top-15 and 11 top-20 finishes in 39 career Xfinity Series starts.

In two starts at Martinsville, Vargas’ best finish is 34th. Mechanical issues in both races hampered the up-and-coming driver’s chances in race.

The Dead On Tools 250 will be on NBCSN on October 30 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
