The eNASCAR Heat Pro League will return for a second season in 2020. The first season boasted over one million live views.

The console-based league will feature an increased prize fund of over $200,000. Each gamer will have the opportunity not only to compete for the prize money, but to represent one of 14 official teams.

Qualifying for the 2020 eNASCAR Heat Pro League draft is open to all NASCAR Heat 4 players on the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One in the United States and Canada. Qualifying will take place over the course of six weeks with the best 24 gamers from the two platforms competing in three pre-season races. The official team draft is in April.

Stephen Hood, President, 704Games touted the league’s place in the industry:

“The eNASCAR Heat Pro League has already proven to be an incredibly exciting series, engaging players, viewers and industry alike. With our partners at the RTA and NASCAR, we’ve worked hard to create a new structure that will again engage our already passionate player base and audience. We’re proud to be taking eNASCAR to ever greater heights.”

The eNASCAR Heat Pro League features some changes from Season 1 to Season 2. Three segments of four races will offer more track variety. For each platform, the best driver in each segment will qualify for the championship round. The fourth driver in the championship will be determined by a penultimate Wildcard race.

Tim Clark, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, NASCAR praised the league’s position in eSports:

“Last season proved our eNASCAR platforms provide action-packed racing with some of the most talented gamers in eSports, bridging the gap from one race to the next. In collaboration with 704Games, the RTA and the entire NASCAR industry, the eNASCAR Heat Pro League cemented itself in season one as a must-watch racing series in this rapidly evolving space.”

The eNASCAR Heat Pro League draft qualifying is open until Feb 26. More information can be found here.
