Mike Harmon Racing announced on Twitter on last Sunday that the team will continue to field the No. 74 in 2020, in addition to the No. 47.

Harmon has used the No. 74 since the beginning of 2011. However, last season Mike Harmon Racing also ran the No. 17 in a partnership with Rick Ware Racing.

Mike Harmon himself was on FrontStretch with Jack Arute on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio this past Sunday where he confirmed the driver lineup for the season-opener NASCAR Racing Experience 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

Joe Nemechek will pilot the No. 47 in the season-opener with Harmon himself behind the wheel of the No. 74, unless they can get a deal with someone that ‘wants to do it worse than I do’ he said.

Furthermore, he revealed the overall driver lineup for this season which includes; Joe Nemechek, Kyle Weatherman, Bayley Currey, Tyler Matthews and Camden Murphy.

MHR stated to Kickin’ The Tires that the team is still seeking partnerships for both cars at Daytona and throughout the season as a whole.

Additionally, if interested the team stated that potential sponsors can reach out on their official website or any of their social media platforms for more information.

With all that said, the team remains optimistic that they’ll have enough resources to run both cars.

“We should have enough resources to run two cars with just a little racing luck,” Harmon said.“If we could get funding for one or both of the cars we could and would improve our performance. These race cars run on cubic dollars not cubic inches.”

In 2019, the No.74 and No. 17 had multiple drivers behind the wheel through out the season.

Overall, the organizations best finishes were Harmon with a 23rd place result at Talladega Superspeedway last Spring and Nicolas Hammann with a 15th place finish at Road America.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener NASCAR Racing Experience 300 will take place on Saturday February 15 at 2:30 p.m. live on FS1 and MRN.
