After he turned heads at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Stefan Parsons is back with CMI Motorsports at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver will once again pilot the No. 83 Springrates Chevrolet Silverado. The Vet Tix Camping World 200 at Atlanta marks the first time Parsons will compete in back-to-back Truck Series races.

At Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Parsons had the CMI Motorsports truck inside the top-15 before an electrical issue forced him to pit road. Crew chief Tim Silva and his team were able to get the son of NASCAR on Fox broadcaster Phil Parsons back on track multiple laps down.

“We are so excited to continue our sponsorship with CMI Motorsports and we’re looking forward to watching Stefan drive the #83 like he did in Vegas,” explained Sean Taylor, owner of Springrates. “He quickly jumped up 14 spots before unfortunately experiencing a technical issue with the truck. We’re anxious to showcase his talent again, along with the awesome support of the CMI team.”

The Vet Tix Camping World 200 will be Parsons’ first race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It will be the 21-year-old’s fifth race at a 1.5-mile track between the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. In the Truck Series, Parsons’ best career finish at an intermediate track is 24th at Charlotte Motor Speedway last year.

“We are excited to head to Atlanta Motor Speedway with Stefan Parsons back in the seat of the No. 83,” stated team owner Ray Ciccarelli. “We are looking to build off the speed we had at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, just with better results.”

The Cornelius, N.C. native will have to qualify on time. 38 teams are entered for a 32-truck field. That entry list includes several NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, John Hunter Nemechek, and Brennan Poole.

“I’m really excited about getting to Atlanta and crossing off another new track!” admitted Stefan Parsons. “I’m confident we can build on our speed from Las Vegas and have a good run in our Springrates Chevy. It’s gonna be a tough field but I know all of us at CMI are looking forward to the challenge.”
