Following his dominant win in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race from Watkins Glen International, Connor Zilisch fell from his car in Victory Lane.
Medical personnel placed the series point leader on a backboard and he was later transported to local hospital for further evaluation.
Later Saturday night, JR Motorsports announced Zilisch had suffered a broken collarbone in the fall and that a CTE scan had been cleared.
Zilisch posted on X to confirm he had been released from the hospital and thanked his followers for the support.
Due to the injury, Zilisch and his No. 87 Trackhouse acing Chevrolet have been withdrawn from competing in Sunday’s Cup Series race at Watkins Glen. He was set to make his fourth career start, having qualified 25th earlier Saturday.
