After a string of three finishes of 31st or worse, Jordan Anderson walked away from a historical weekend at Pocono Raceway with a solid 17th place finish.

Avoid wrecks and rebound from bringing out a caution at the Tricky Triangle, Anderson did just that. Starting 32nd , Anderson’s No. 3 Chevrolet had some work to do in such a short race, only 60 laps.

Sunday’s Pocono Organics 150 saw three cautions and two red flags in the first 13 laps.

The caution waved on lap one with a wreck involving Matt Crafton and Codie Rohrbaugh, ending their days. The yellow flag however wasn’t done waving. A lap 6 caution involving Raphael Lessard and a lap 12 crash involving Ty Majeski.  Anderson was able to avoid all three incidents and truck on.

Then lap 28 happened – Anderson spun with a flat tire bringing out the caution, but was able to avoid any contact with the wall.

With 32 laps remaining following the spin, the driver owner was able to rebound in his No. 3 Chevrolet for a solid Top- 20 finish — his first Top-20 since a 20th place result at Las Vegas Motor Speedway back in late February.

The series next heads to Kentucky Speedway on Saturday July 11, in five previous starts at the track, Anderson has two Top-20 finishes with his best finish being 17th back in 2016.
