NASCAR has suspended Johnny Sauter for retaliating under caution this past weekend at Iowa Speedway when he spun the No. 16 truck of Austin Hill during the Gander Outdoors Truck Series event. This after the two had an altercation during the race.

The suspension isn’t a surprise as NASCAR has been consistent, of late, in suspending drivers meting out revenge while under caution.

ThorSport Racing’s General Manager, David Pepper, told Kickin’ the Tires that a decision had not been made yet on whether the team would appeal the penalty or if another driver had been discussed to fill the seat of the No. 13 Ford F-150 this week at Worldwide Technology Raceway (Gateway) near St. Louis.

He said the situation was “unfortunate.”
