Today, Team Penske announced their continuation with longtime associate sponsor, TireRack.Com

TireRack, based out of South Bend, IN, will feature as the primary sponsor for Scott McLaughlin and the No. 3 team at the Detorit Grand Prix on June 1. Previously, TireRack has served as an associate sponsor on the cars of McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden, since the partnership began in 2022. The only other time TireRack served as a primary sponsor was last August at Portland International Raceway.

McLaughlin sits fifth in the point standings, 111 points behind Alex Palou in first. McLaughlin has also added one pole and one podium to his season so far, with 43 laps led.

With teams scrambling for sponsors race-to-race, TireRack increasing their presence in IndyCar pleases Team Penske IndyCar Series President, Tim Cindric, especially at Detroit.

“Tire Rack has been a great addition to our NTT IndyCar Series lineup,” said Cindric. “As an Indiana-based company that originated in Indianapolis, they understand our sport and have done an amazing job utilizing our drivers to promote both their brand and the INDYCAR SERIES. The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is a marquee event, and we couldn’t be more motivated to get them in victory lane in the Motor City.”

Since 1979, Tire Rack has grown from a single-point retail store in Indianapolis, Indiana to encompass over 2.9 million square feet of space in 12 distribution centers across the country.

TireRack also serves as the largest tire tester and consumer-direct source for tires in America. Having an Indiana-based company, sponsor one of IndyCar’s biggest teams, makes all the sense in the world.

For TireRack Senior Vice President of Marketing Woody Rogers, continuing to build upon the existing relationship between Penske and the series is the best outcome.

“It’s exciting to continue our Team Penske relationship for the 2025 INDYCAR season,” said Rogers. “Not only do we get to build on the positive outcomes of working with both the INDYCAR SERIES and this legendary team, we’re also in front of thousands of race fans, many motorsports and driving enthusiasts who know Tire Rack for its huge tire inventory and independent tire testing data and helpful shopping and tire safety and maintenance advice.”
