3rd installment of 2020 NASCAR schedule released

NASCAR has announced the third installment of the 2020 NASCAR schedule, that includes race events for the Cup, Xfinity and Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, as well as the ARCA Menards Series.

This schedule announcement will carry the sport into the month of August, with 23 races to be run in just over five weeks.

Following the race events at Talladega Superspeedway on June 21, the schedule will immediately pick up at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, featuring five races in a span of three days. From there, Cup and Xfinity will head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the historic Brickyard 400 and the debut race on the track’s road course on July 4 and 5.

Additionally, Kentucky Speedway, a return to Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway and New Hampshire will all be competed on until early August.

NBC Sports will officially take over the Cup and Xfinity TV broadcasts following the All-Star Race at Charlotte on July 15. The full schedule can be seen below. Further announcements on fan attendance and other logistics will be made at a future date. 

# = Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway (July 9) realigned from New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas Speedway (July 24) realigned from Chicagoland Speedway. The Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway (July 25) realigned from Chicagoland Speedway. And the Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway (July 25) has been realigned from Iowa Speedway.
