NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie who drives the No. 32 Ford Mustang for Go Fas Racing has been named the Fourth Quarter NMPA Pocono Spirit Award Winner after donating a month’s salary this past August to a charity important to both him and his wife, Kelly.
LaJoie and Kelly teamed up with Samaritan’s Feet in August, the organization founded in 2003 provides shoes to children and individuals in need.
Since 2003, Samaritan’s Feet and its partners have distributed over 7 million pairs of shoes in 108 countries, as well as more than 395 U.S. cities.
At the time, anyone who donated through the Hope Givers fundraising page that LaJoie had set up prior to the Cup Series event at Watkins Glen International would have their name personally written on LaJoie’s No. 32.
The outcome proved successful with over $100,000 being raised.
