Henderson Motorsports, one of the longest standing teams in NASCAR with look to add additional races to their 2020 schedule after a strong 10th place finish in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway last month.
In a press release released on Wednesday, Henderson Racing indicated the team will be looking to field additional drivers in the series as part of their new driver developmental program.
The team will continue to utilize their current relationship with NASCAR driver and NBCSN analyst, Parker Kligerman.
“My intentions with Henderson Motorsports were to build a successful platform for any aspiring driver. Using the same principles as we use with Food Country, USA, we focus on the quality of our brand before we offer it to our consumer,” said Team Owner Don Henderson.
In 2019, Parker Kligerman competed in three NASCAR Truck Series races for Henderson Motorsports with one top-10 and three top-20 finishes overall. Kligerman’s best finish of the season was 10th in the season finale at Homestead.
Kligerman and the team saw victory lane together in the fall of 2017 when Kligerman won the Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Talladega Superspeedway after starting the event 14th on the grid.
The victory was Kligerman’s second in the series, second at Talladega and first since the 2012 season.
The team based out of Abingdon, Virginia continues to make strides in the series after they acquired a technical alliance with GMS Racing.
“We want to know that was a team, we can compete week in-and-week-out. I feel as if we have a solid foundation to now do that,” said Henderson.
