New listings in the real estate database, which were crossed-checked with Iredell County tax records, confirm Kyle Larson has listed his current home for sale at $1.25 million, as well as, the home he was having built on the lake at a price of $4.999 million.

The listings are both just a few days old and come three weeks after he lost his ride at Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) in the No. 42 car following a racial slur uttered during an iRacing event. The fallout from the incident occurred quickly with sponsors pulling their support, his being suspended from NASCAR, the World of Outlaws and iRacing and a decision by CGR to end their relationship.

Larson bought his first home in 2014 – the same year he won Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors during his first season with CGR. At the time, several drivers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski, joked with him on social media about wishing they had a house as nice as the one he had just purchased. It was the then-21-year-old driver’s first home to purchase on his own. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home is secluded by tall trees and features a pool, a glass in wine vault and a scenic sitting area.

The listing for the home still under construction states, “Timeless NEW waterfront estate located in one of LKN’s most prestigious communities w/300ft+ of shoreline. One of the most exquisite waterfront lots w/panoramic views – truly a RARE find! Every detail was put into the design of this home w/too many top-of-the-line finishes to list. This casual modern home has a California/West Coast vibe. Saltwater pool. Covered outdoor living & entertaining area w/tumbled marble, double-sided fireplace, outdoor kitchen & pool bath make it indoor/outdoor living at its finest. Private cul-de-sac.”

The unfinished home, which was listed – incomplete – on tax rolls for 2019 at more than $1 million, sits on a point overlooking the lake and boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The back wall of the home is primarily glassed-in for a full view of the lake. The land shows to have been purchased for $1.4 million in November 2018 and holds a property value alone of $930,000. The undeveloped land was originally listed at $1.75 million in 2017.

Larson also owns property on Brawley School Road but it does not currently show as being for sale.

Larson, who was one of the brightest prospects in stock car racing was in a contract year at CGR and was considered a top candidate at Stewart-Haas Racing or Hendrick Motorsports. Many in the sport believe he will return to NASCAR racing and he has repeatedly apologized for the comment and he regrets it was ever said.

Although NASCAR does not comment on the progress of whether a driver is enrolled in its Road to Recovery Program, a spokesperson did say the sanctioning body would confirm when he was eligible to return to competition. Larson, who owns Kyle Larson Racing and fields cars on the World of Outlaws, was also suspended from that racing series but has been invited to race in the Knoxville race on May 8.

Chris Dolack, director of public relations for World of Outlaws confirmed, “Kyle Larson has been invited to race on Friday night and I believe he intends on competing. He has satisfied the requirements set forth by the World of Outlaws.”

Attempts via email to obtain comments from representatives for Larson were unsuccessful.

  1. It will super to see him.. In Stewart-Haas Racing… Smoke is no dummy. He knows this young man would kick butt for them..

  2. The first house he ever did bought is all paid for. His race shop is so super cool I’d love to live there. Kyle will make back to cup by the end of the year

  3. I would like to say that the reason you lost your job is just crazy. Other drivers have said and done many worse things and only got slap on the wrist a fine and perhops suspended a couple races. My driver is Brad K. and always will be, he’s my cousin and a great driver but I have always admired your drive as well as your talent. Praying for you to be back very soon with new team and sponser.

  4. Total over reaction by sanctioning bodies, sponsors car owner etc. Blown totally out of proportion by the media. Was it a bad choice of words? Yes. A criminal act? No. A violent act? No. Does he deserve a second chance? Absolutely. And he will get that second chance from the most important folks of all, the race fans. Will there be some boos from the crowd? Probably but the overwhelming cheers will drown them out. Kyle’s a good person and most fans know it. He paid dearly for this mistake. Time to let bygones be bygones. Personally I’d sooner see him in a 410 sprinter then a Cup car anyway. Looking forward to him racing in Central Pa. when the Outlaws come to town.

  5. This is a real kick in the teeth to Larson I’ll tell you why ,ever since hes been in cup hes been called a jap ,never heard him crying about.

  6. Man I hope he didn’t offend any of the people that say it on a daily basis. I tried to find it on YouTube but after watching a week’s worth of videos of people saying that word, I never found it. So hypocritical. Mcdonalds is one of the sponsors that dropped him but yet they have musicians in their commercials that say it in their music. Bunch of hypocrits.

  8. I for one am glad to see his sponsors drop him. He needs to learn that there are consequences for his actions. That’s a good part of the problem with this country, no one wants to deal with the consequences of their misbehavior. Hopefully, this will be a lesson to him. Again, whether or not he meant to be racist, I don’t know, and I don’t think any of us do, because we don’t know what’s in his heart. But the fact that he should learn that there are consequences to his actions, we all should all agree with that!!

  9. I am very hopeful that Stewart Haas will pick him up for 2021..
He is still my driver pick regardless of what team he drives for…
Total over reaction by NASCAR,fans, and media.
In this turbulent world, one would think this pandemic is a crisis not Kyle’s choice of words.

Get over it and focus on a healthy world.

  10. Major corporate sponsors will not tolerate racism of any kind. Period! They would be destroyed in the press if they were to sponsor anyone considered racist because they would be considered racist as well. Larsen won’t be back in Nascar for a decade.

  11. If I were Kyle Larson (and with 5his news of him selling his houses) I would tell Nascar (the ‘holier than thou a-holes) to shove it up their butts and stick with world of outlaws for the rest of my career! And maybe give Indycar a whirl!!!!!

  12. He’s an Asian American…….so oh yeah he really was being a racist??? You’ve got to be kidding me, he slipped and said the n-word in a non-racist way and the whole stiff butted world comes to an end and he loses his ride and is indefinitely suspended?? REALLY?? I’d really hate to see what would happen if he was to have really said something BAD as he’d be sent before a firing squad and shot seeing how the current reaction is so unequal to the crime!!! If I were him I’d tell ’em to shove it and go back to dirt!!!

  13. I hope he bucks Political Correctness and treats it like a rapper would treat it. “They can say it…but not YOU!!” Screw that. If blacks have an identity issue, they need to deal with it themselves. “Colored People? NOT okay.
“People of Color”? Well, THAT’S okay.
In my opinion, these do-gooder White Liberal PC enforcers are PUSHING racism with their double-standards. If they held everyone to the same standard, we could probably get past race.

  14. Does the ones throwing the stones at Kyle for saying the n word live in a glass house?? Everyone
of them use the n word, so does the black people use the n word and they laugh about it. So
he gets thrown under the bus by his sponsors, nascar, bunch of hypocrits!! I hope that someone
picks him up. He is one of the best young driver out there… I don’t like to hear the n word from
anyone, but it is used. It is only minor if the public knew what blacks and whites call each other.

  15. I hope Kyle Larson does get a ride with Stewart an kicks ass cause he was done wrong by all involved from Ganassi to his sponsors. If he doesn’t return to NASCAR I’m through!!!!

  16. NASCAR should pay you a lot of money just to walk through there so called pearly gates…Sorry I eat at Burger King

  17. Complete bs grow up people the word used by EVERYONE! He didn’t mean anything by it for crying out loud. This COUNTRY EVERYONE GETS BUTT HURT! BOO! HOO! if other drivers or sponsors can’t handle it maybe they should watch and sponsor soccer. Good luck KW.

  18. Ok , George I agree the n word is wrong, but so should the words cracker, but you don’t hear us crying ,the problem is people getting butt hurt over everything,we all need to grow up and get it

  19. I made a comment about this on my NASCAR page. As many people I think this is ridiculous this is a word unfortunately no one wants to hear but yet if you go around in your realest you hear it all the time. This young man has a promising career in front of him one mistake a being a human being and slip of a tongue has cost him his career at the moment. It’s sad to see that he put his homes up for sale as far as that goes each to their own if that’s how you want to live and you can afford it go ahead but that has nothing to do what is wrong here. I can’t help but to think there has to be a alternative motive. I started listening to NASCAR on my AM radio when I was 6 years old I started going to my local track around the same age. No NASCAR is involved into every other kind of sports is all about promoting a product racing is second business is first that means a driver is the third part of this equation. But yet without a driver you have no sponsor Target would not have sponsored him if they thought he was a liability to their brand as all of his other sponsors. NASCAR chip ganassi you’re dead wrong you got it wrong now look at yourself in the mirror any one of you two had a part of this and ask yourself have I ever done anything wrong? Have I done something so bad and said something so bad that I should be punished to the point to where I have to sell my homes lose my job because of one word have I ever done anything like that? He without sin throw the first stone I sure you many many of you can look in the mirror and say that yep I said the n-word in my life and I regret it. But did you lose your job did you lose your home no you simply probably apologize and went on that is the right thing to do we all make mistakes. NASCAR chip ganassi I’m asking you as a human being a Nascar fan for 52 years and look at yourselves and ask you don’t we need to do the right thing. I don’t know where this young man wind up but I hope someone smart enough to put him in the car I can see this young man going a long way in a funny car he loves speed and he drive like a bat out of hell. Kyle I wish you the best

  20. Kyle’s words was a mistake it should not have been a death sentence Wallace’s statement was a racial slur to me using the redneck term I think it was an overreaction knowing that the sponsors will drop you is why chip ganassi dropped him I think NASCAR’s wrong and what they doing by suspending him indefinitely he needs to have sensitivity training but not to lose everything you work for

  21. I don’t think that Kyle meant it in any racism way. He made a mistake and is being punished for
what others do and get by with it. He is a great driver and I hope Stewart-Hass picks him up.
God bless him and his family for all that they are going through now.
Great Loss for Nascar and fans!
