NASCAR has officially announced the second installment of the 2020 racing schedule for the three main NASCAR series (Cup, Xfinity and Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series) as well as the ARCA Menard’s Series.

With Cup and Xfinity returning to Darlington Raceway on May 17 through May 20, they will next head to Charlotte Motor Speedway for four races, (two Cup, one Xfinity and one Trucks) among those being the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 24.

Now, we know the next steps, as NASCAR has confirmed the second installment of racing, a schedule that will lead the sport through late June. The schedule is as follows:

The above races will see no fans in attendance and only one of the 13 races will take place mid-week, a night race at Martinsville Speedway on Wednesday, June 10.

Additionally, the races weekends at Kansas Speedway (May 30-31), Michigan International Speedway (June 5-7), the Xfinity race at Mid-Ohio (May 30) and the Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway (June 5) have all been postponed.

The Xfinity race previously scheduled for June 13 at Iowa Speedway has been cancelled and replaced by an Xfinity race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, June 14.

Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer, spoke on the changes.

“As we prepare for our return to racing at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, the industry has been diligent in building the return-to-racing schedule,” said O’Donnell. “We are eager to expand our schedule while continuing to work closely with the local governments in each of the areas we will visit. We thank the many government officials for their guidance, as we share the same goal in our return – the safety for our competitors and the communities in which we race.”
