The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 race weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Dixie Vodka 400 race weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway will continue as scheduled. However, the race events will not have any race fans in attendance.

The six events, two for the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, two for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and two for the NASCAR Cup Series, are limited to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race.

NASCAR released a statement on the evolving situation:

“At this time, NASCAR will hold its race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedwaywithout fans in attendance. These events will be restricted to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race. We will work with public health officials as we determine future scheduling beyond these events.”

NASCAR previously announced updated policy changes to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those policy changes include driver at track media availabilities, track services meetings, driver appearances, pre and post-race activities among other processes.
