For Ryan Truex, a journeyman driving style career continues with six NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races.

Truex will drive the No. 40 Marquis Spas Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports. His first race with the team will be the Vankor 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The partnership between Truex and Marquis Spas began last season at JR Motorsports. The 27-year-old earned one top-10 finish with Marquis’ colors on board.

“I’m extremely excited to continue my partnership with Marquis Spas for a second season and can’t wait to go after wins with Niece Motorsports,” admitted Truex. “Marquis builds the highest quality spas on the market and I’m grateful to be partnered with a company that strives for continued excellence. I can’t wait to kick off the 2020 season with Marquis Spas and Niece Motorsports in Texas.”

2017 marked the last time that Truex competed in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. In 42 career starts, he earned 10 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes. Truex’s best finish, second, came at Daytona International Speedway in 2016 and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2017. Both runner-up finishes came with Hattori Racing Enterprises.

The Mayetta, N.J. native has three starts in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway. Truex has one top-five and two top-10 finishes at the 1.5-mile track.

Truex joins an already stout line-up at Niece Motorsports. Ty Majeski will run full-time with Ross Chastain, Natalie Decker, and Carson Hocevar splitting time in the other two trucks. Chastain earned the organization’s first victory last season at Kansas Speedway.

“This is another really exciting announcement for Niece Motorsports,” said team owner Al Niece. “Ryan is a proven talent with a lot of experience, and we are happy to have him on board. I’m eager to get this season started, and I know Ryan is ready to get on track at Texas.”

Niece Motorsports marks the fourth NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series team that Truex has competed for. He also has 78 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and 26 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series.
