Press Release

RFK Racing, a team with a strong presence at Daytona International Speedway, will be looking to continue its winning ways, having seen success in recent Duels and the Daytona 500. Jack Roush, the legendary team owner, has celebrated 12 wins at Daytona, with eight of those victories coming in the NASCAR Cup Series.

One of the standout stories from RFK Racing’s recent history at Daytona includes their impressive 2022 sweep of the Duels, where Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher each claimed victory in their respective qualifying races. Historically, RFK Racing has won three Duel races, and their drivers are looking to build on that momentum this year.

Brad Keselowski, a Daytona veteran, makes his 32nd start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway this weekend. With 15 starts in the Daytona 500, Keselowski has finished in the Top-10 twice and is determined to improve on his 33rd-place finish in the 2024 race. Keselowski will be looking to his new crew chief, Jeremy Bullins, who has won the Daytona 500 with Austin Cindric in 2022 and is familiar with victory lane at this track.

Chris Buescher, fresh off his thrilling win at Daytona in August 2023, will be making his 19th start at Daytona, including his 10th Daytona 500 appearance. Buescher’s Daytona resume includes eight top-10 finishes, and he’s no stranger to top-five performances at this iconic track. His best Daytona 500 finish came in 2019 when he finished in third place.

Rounding out RFK Racing’s Daytona lineup is Ryan Preece, who has three top-10 finishes in his 10 career starts at Daytona. Preece, now in his sixth Daytona 500, will aim to build on his strong performances, including a notable sixth-place finish in the 2021 race.

RFK Racing has a rich history at Daytona, with two Daytona 500 wins courtesy of Matt Kenseth in 2009 and 2012. Kenseth’s victory in 2009 was particularly memorable, as he started 39th and led the final seven laps to secure the win. Additionally, the team has seen success in the Duels, with Greg Biffle earning a pole in 2004 and Carl Edwards securing another pole in 2012.

As the 2025 season gets underway, all eyes will be on Daytona as the drivers battle it out for supremacy in the sport’s most prestigious race. The race is expected to be as unpredictable as ever, with teams like RFK Racing hoping to capitalize on their previous successes and make a statement on the sport’s biggest stage.

With exciting practice sessions, qualifying, and the Duels leading up to the big race, Daytona 500 weekend is shaping up to be one for the ages. Fans and drivers alike will be hoping for a thrilling start to the new season, with the RFK Racing team aiming to make their mark once again in “The Great American Race.”
