Alex Bowman’s frustrations are starting to boil over after an accident in the Monster Energy All-Star Race on Saturday.

Bowman was able to advance to the All-Star event after winning the first stage during the Open. Despite advancing into the race, Bowman expressed his displeasure after the event.

On Lap 57, Bowman was on the outside of Brad Keselowski coming around Turn 2. As they were exiting the turn, Bowman’s car was loose and put him into the wall. Bowman did not lift off the throttle while trying to pass Keselowski–something he wished he did after the fact.

“I knocked the nose off of it early.  just got loose and it stepped out. I saved it, it stepped out again and I couldn’t save it.  Really frustrating.  I hate it for my guys, it’s my fault that we were in the situation further back than we should have been.  I should have just been more patient and not knocked the nose off of it early,” Bowman said.

However, he is frustrated with how drivers are racing him.

“I’m just frustrated.  I feel like these guys have taken advantage of me quite a bit this year and I’m over lifting for guys.  I’m not going to go out of my way to slow myself down to help somebody else out.  They would race me the same way.  I’m just kind of over it,” Bowman said.

Bowman finished the race In the 21st position.

  1. Gee their racing me to hard boo hoo hoo! He’s joining Chase in the whiner line. Quit crying and race. You’re in the big leagues now. Crap or get off of the pot. Quit believing your press releases.
