Despite announcing earlier on Friday that Pilot Flying J and Michael Annett will be returning in a new multi-year deal, the search for sponsorship continues as OneMain Financial has informed JR Motorsports that they will no longer sponsor Elliott Sadler in the same capacity next season.
“We know we have some sponsorship to find,” Sadler said. “We’ll try to do that. We run good enough to make that happen. I know JR (Motorsports) plans on being, four strong teams next year and they deserve to be.”
Currently, OneMain Financial is the primary sponsor of the No. 1 Chevrolet from JR Motorsports. They have been a sponsor on the car in nine of the first 14 NASCAR Xfinity Series events.
This is not the first time that OneMain Financial has said that they will no longer be a sponsor for Sadler and JRM. In 2016, the OneMain Financial stated that they would cut ties with Sadler and JRM. However, after a change of heart shortly after, OneMain Financial re-upped their commitment to Sadler and JRM.
According to Sadler, OneMain Financial “maybe doing a little bit lesser of a schedule than what they’re doing now.”
