Despite winning last weekend at Iowa Speedway, the sponsorship search is still on at Hattori Racing for Brett Moffitt.
Moffitt scored his second career win at a time where the organization is looking for sponsorship past this weekend at Gateway Motorsports Park. The win last weekend at Iowa has opened up doors on the sponsorship front according to Moffitt.
“I think it opened doors and brought light to the situation with a lot of positive feedback. Many people have been kicking in trying to help find those connections and partners but we’re still uncertain,” Moffitt said.
The talks behind the scenes are ongoing, but the team is hoping to have something for Chicagoland Speedway and beyond.
“I think our deadline is the end of the weekend on basically whether we can make it happen or not. We’re definitely talking to some people but we’re unsure if it will happen or not,” Moffitt said.
The team has strong hopes to participate for the championship. Moffitt sits third in the points standings.
