During October, many teams flip over their usual colors to race in pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Tracks like Charlotte Motor Speedway paint their walls pink and countless dollars are raised throughout the NASCAR garage during the 31-day month.
Chevrolet is joining in for two of the next three Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series weekends, as they will pace Sunday’s 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega and the First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway with a pink Chevrolet Camaro SS pace car.
For every lap the pink pace car leads the field under caution, Chevrolet will donate $350 per lap (up to $50,000) to the MSABC program. Perhaps Talladega and Martinsville are the best two tracks for this cause, as each track generally sees a plethora of yellow flags.
Big thanks to @austindillon3 and @RyanJNewman for providing hot lap rides around @TalladegaSuperS, and meeting with breast cancer survivors and guests. Tell us who you support using #IDriveFor in the comments below! pic.twitter.com/ML7kJ325re

Chevrolet is also contributing to the American Cancer Society partnership through a social media engagement program that encourages people to ‘Share Who Inspires Them to End This Disease’ by using the hashtag #IDriveFor.
Chevrolet will donate five dollars for every #IDriveFor post (up to $400,000) on Twitter or Instagram during the month of October.
Below is an interview with Chevrolet driver Austin Dillon during the weekend’s event.
Since 2011, Chevrolet, dealers, and GM Employees have contributed nearly $10 million to the American Cancer Society to support breast cancer research, education for healthcare professionals, screening guidelines, and promotion for early detection and patient resources.
