Jordan Anderson Racing and AM Racing announce new joint race shop

On Wednesday, Jordan Anderson owner and driver of Jordan Anderson Racing and AM Racing’s Austin Wayne Self officially announced a new joint race shop.

Anderson and Self hosted both fans and media at their new shop location located in Statesville, North Carolina. Going forward each organization will operate at the location alongside Win-Tron Racing.

The 30,000 SQFT facility previously was occupied by Front Row Motorsports. The shop boasts a main shop floor filled with Chevrolet Silverado race trucks, a separate fab shop, paint booth, chassis dyno, in addition to offices for engineers and crew chiefs.

In addition to the new shop announcement, both teams discussed their intentions to compete in the full 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season, discussed other goals and expectations for the approaching season.

2020 will mark Anderson’s sixth year competing full time in the series as a driver and his third as an owner and driver combination for his own Jordan Anderson Racing.

Furthermore, JAR welcomed back primary partners Bommarito Automotive Group, Lucas Oil and Capital City Towing.

The South Carolina native wrapped up his 2019 campaign having tallied up seven top-15, 12 top-20 and 18 top-25 finishes.

Anderson also went on to finish 16th in the driver points standings following the season-finale from Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida.

On the other hand, 2020 will mark Austin Wayne Self’s fifth season competing in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

The Texas native wrapped up his 2019 season with one top-five, 3 top-10’s and 16 top-20 finishes. Self’s best finish of the season fifth at Michigan International Speedway last August.

“This move is such a big step forward in so many ways,” stated Anderson. “To be aligned with a team that operates the way that AM Racing does and to work closer with Austin this year is a great move forward for us.”

“Wally Rogers will be back as crew chief with us this year and it’s exciting to be able to provide him with more resources as we strive to keep making this team more competitive each and every week,” said Anderson. “We’ve been extremely blessed with some amazing people like John Bommarito and his organization that stand behind us and support us. To be able to make this move is another perfect example of that.”

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season kicks off on Friday February 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET live on FS1 with the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.
