DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The prodigal son returns home as Johnny Sauter announced Tuesday that he will race in 2019 with ThorSport Racing in the No. 13 Ford F-150.

In January, it was announced that Sauter would not return to GMS Racing in 2019 as Brett Moffitt was announced as his replacement.

Sauter was with the organization from 2009 to 2015 before moving over to GMS Racing. He won his first NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series championship in 2016.

“2019 has me returning home to ThorSport,” Sauter confirmed Tuesday evening on NASCAR Race Hub. “Duke and Rhonda have been great not only to me but to the (Gander Outdoors) Truck Series for 23 years at a high level. I couldn’t be more proud to be going back there racing for wins and a championship.”

In a post on social media, Myatt Snider confirmed that he would be moving from a full-time to a part-time basis with the organization to focus on his education and aviation.

Grant Enfinger, Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes will return to the organization but no further detail has been given at this time. This story will be updated when those plans are announced.
