IndyCar has announced Phase Two of the 2027 schedule, headlined by the addition of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on July 18, 2027. This will mark IndyCar’s first foray outside of North America for the first time since 2013 and first time on European soil since 2007.

The schedule is reduced from 18 races to 17 after the losses of Washington D.C. and the Nashville Superspeedway.

The summer will kick off on Sunday, June 13 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Followed by a two week break, the series heads north to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on June 27.

For the 44th time in series history, Indycar will race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, this time on July 4, keeping its now traditional spot on Independence Day weekend. After Barcelona on July 18 and another week off, Indycar will return to Portland International Raceway on August 1, kicking off the first of four races in that month.

The Streets of Markham return on August 15 and wil be followed up by the doubleheader on the Milwaukee Mile (Aug 28-29). The season finale returns to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during Labor Day weekend on September 5.

With a dynamic schedule featuring different types of tracks, IndyCar President J. Douglas Boles promises fans will have thrilling racing to look forward to in 2027.

“One of the things that makes IndyCar so special is that winning a championship requires drivers and teams to be competitive on every type of racetrack,” Boles said. “From high-speed ovals to tight street circuits and challenging road courses, they face a different test almost every weekend. The 2027 schedule continues that tradition, featuring the 111th Running of the Indianapolis 500, alongside some of the most iconic racetracks in North America, and the historic addition of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. With 25 full-time entries battling for a championship and every race broadcast on FOX, our fans have an incredible season of racing to look forward to.”

The entire 2027 IndyCar season will once again be broadcast on FOX, with broadcast times to be announced at a later date. The 2027 Indy NXT by Firestone schedule will also be announced in the coming weeks, per the series.
