By Christian Koelle, Staff Writer

The NTT Data IndyCar Series will return to the streets of Nashville in 2022.

After a successful return to the Nashville area, IndyCar will return for an encore performance in 2022. Hendersonville, Tennessee native, and Gateway winner Josef Newgarden made the official announcement on the MCGP social media pages and announced that the encore will take place on August 5th through the 7th.

The announcement of Nashville’s return to the IndyCar Series comes almost a week after Iowa Speedway announced their return to the schedule for the first time since last season. It also comes after many success stories were announced following the inaugural Grand Prix that included the most-watched IndyCar race on cable since 1998 per NBC.
