Premium Motorsports announced on Wednesday that NASCAR driver Brennan Poole will be behind the wheel of their No. 15 Chevrolet Camaro full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2020. In addition, Poole’s debut with the team next season will also be his debut in the series.
“I’ve been working towards this moment since I was 5 and feel blessed to have the caliber of people surrounding me that I have in this next chapter of my racing career,” said Poole in a team press release. “I look forward to the opportunity to showcase our sponsor partners, both new and existing, who are supporting me at the highest level of NASCAR competition.”
The Texas native made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2015 a race where he went on to finish ninth.
Over a three-year span from 2015 to 2017, Poole competed in 83 Xfinity Series events earning eight top-five and 36 top-10 finishes along with one pole award.
In 2019, Poole competed in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in 13 of 23 events for OnPoint Motorsports earning one top-five and four top-10 finishes with a best finish of second at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
Previously in his career, Poole saw a multitude of success in the ARCA Racing Series in which he competed in 35 events from 2011 through 2015. In that time span the driver known as “The Bull” found victory lane six times in addition to earning 18 top-five finishes, 27 top-10’s and four pole awards.
