The NASCAR Cup Series kicked off the Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter weekend with practice and qualifying at World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday with defending race-winner Joey Logano topping the speed charts in practice and Kyle Busch earning his first Cup Series pole since 2019.

The session also featured the Cup car debut of Carson Hocevar and Corey LaJoie’s Hendrick Motorsports debut.

Here is Saturday’s session behind the lens of our staff photographer Christian Koelle.
