Niece Motorsports adds Natalie Decker to their stable for a partial NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series schedule.
The season opener at Daytona International Speedway marks Decker’s Niece Motorsports debut. She will drive the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado for the fourth-year NASCAR team. Decker joins Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, and Ross Chastain.
Last season, Decker competed for DGR-Crosley. In 19 races, the Eagle River, WI native earned her best finish, 13th, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“Change is inevitable, change is expected and exciting, and change is also frightening,” Decker admitted. “But this year is a year I’m ready for! I have never felt so prepared with my health, in the gym, and mentally.
“There are so many things to be excited about working with Niece Motorsports, starting with my teammates Ross Chastain and Ty Majeski. I’m ready to learn from them and be 100% open minded going into the season!”
Decker also has 29 ARCA Menards Series starts. She earned the pole at Daytona International Speedway in 2018. Decker has two top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in ARCA competition.
“We are excited to have Natalie Decker join the team,” said team owner Al Niece. “Natalie has shown a lot of talent, and we are excited to see her continue to develop that at Niece Motorsports. We are certain we will put her in competitive equipment that will really give her a chance to shine.”
Niece Motorsports earned their first win at Kansas Speedway in 2019 with Chastain. In 129 combined starts, the organization has three victories, 10 top-five, and 27 top-10 finishes with 21 different drivers behind the wheel.
Niece Motorsports finished third in the final 2019 Owner’s Points Standings.
