Chip Ganassi Racing announced on Wednesday that GEARWRENCH will sponsor veteran NASCAR Cup Series driver Kurt Busch in four races in 2020.
Busch helped unveil his new GEARWRENCH paint scheme today, a scheme that will take to the track on four different occasions this season.
Those events include; Phoenix Raceway (March 8), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 24), Dover International Speedway (August 23) and Talladega Superspeedway (October 4).
The unveiling took place at Apex Tool Group in Apex, North Carolina as employees helped Busch celebrate the start of the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series season.
“There’s so much excitement around Kurt and we wanted to make sure our team members at our Raleigh facility knew that they were a part of it,” said Rena Fiorello, director of brand management for GEARWRENCH. “It was fun to feel that team atmosphere and make sure that our colleagues understand that they’re truly part of everything we do, and that includes our partnership with Kurt and Chip Ganassi Racing.”
Apex Tool Group is one of the largest manufacturers in the world and is the parent company of GEARWRENCH. GEARWRENCH is a premier hand tool brand for both automotive and industrial mechanics alike.
Following today’s unveiling, Busch spent some time with employees of the company as he drove them around a track in the parking lot to give them a feeling of being in a NASCAR race.

Additionally, Busch took the time to sign autographs, take photos and also give a special shout out to the employees who are military service veterans.
The Las Vegas native has competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2002, having tallied up 27 poles, 31 wins, 143 top-five and 298 top-10 finishes.
Busch has won at least one race each season going back to the 2014 season.
In 2019, Busch earned one win at Kentucky Speedway, in addition to six top-five and 18 top-10 finishes.
