Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Jimmie Johnson will serve as the grand marshal for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 15.
Once the drives are strapped into their race cars and ready to go, Johnson will give the command to start engines from the cockpit of his No. 48 Ally Chevrolet.
Johnson is no stranger to victory lane at Atlanta Motor Speedway with five wins at the 1.5-mile track. He also has 14 top-five, 16 top-10 finishes and has led for 568 laps in 28 previous starts.
He will look to capture his sixth win at the track and his first since the beginning of the 2016 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Prior to Johnson’s command to fire engines, Voices of Service will perform the National Anthem.
Voices of Service are an acapella group of veteran and active military service members. The group has become popularized following their time on America’s Got Talent.
