JUSTIN, Tex. – Race fans may think that NASCAR drivers are only in it for the big paydays but as Kyle Larson explained after his Xfinity Series win in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 at Texas Motor Speedway, cool trophies are a major draw, as well.

Larson said one of the factors that drove him to race in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event this week is that the trophy is next-level cool. His victory now gives him two giant custard cones to show off.

“Yes, we love winning. Yes, we love money,” Larson said. “But more importantly, I think we all love trophies, and especially cool ones.”

His 2025 trophy is currently at his race shop but when Motorsport.com’s Matt Weaver asked where he would put cone number two, he didn’t have an immediate answer and Larson’s wife, Katelyn, was observed laughing at the question.

“Well, I mean, it’s in my, the one from last year’s in our area, my trophy room at my shop. But it definitely stands out compared to the other ones,” Larson said. “As you can imagine, it’s just shiny and polished. But, yeah, it’s maybe one of the most unique trophies in my collection and one that is really cool and probably a reason why I want to run this race, you know, is because of the trophy.”
