CONCORD, N.C. – Morph six NASCAR superstars and a race broadcaster into their cartoon forms, throw them into a children’s show and as the old saying goes, “anything that can go wrong will go wrong,” and that is exactly what fans can expect this weekend on the Disney Channel’s Emmy-winning, hit animated show, Milo Murphy’s Law.
For those not in the know – or anyone without children under the age of 13 – Milo is the 13-year-old great-great-great-great grandson of Edward A. Murphy, who coined the term “Murphy’s Law.” Unfortunately, for Milo, whose character is voiced by Weird Al Yankovic, his life is a living example of the bad luck term coined by his ancestor. In fact, he has about as much bad luck on a regular basis as Jeff Gordon did in 2012, in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Milo pals around with friends Melissa and Zack, who both seek out adventure with Milo, despite his misfortune. So, what could go wrong when a charity stockcar race roars into Jefferson County.
NASCAR drivers Joey Logano, Ty Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Erik Jones, William Byron and former driver-turned-announcer, Rusty Wallace, will guest star along with FOX announcer Mike Joy to bring awareness to the Llama Relief Fund on an episode Milo Murphy’s Law, Saturday, January 26, at 7 pm EST, on the Disney Channel and Disney Now.
But the NASCAR stars needn’t worry, Milo may suffer from EHML (Extreme Hereditary Murphy’s Law) but thanks to a backpack given to him by a past babysitter, he has all the supplies he needs to fix any situation.
The idea for the integration of NASCAR stars in the show is a continued endeavor by the entertainment side of the sport to introduce racing’s superstars to young audiences and get them interested in
