Roush Fenway Racing has announced a multi-year extension with Wyndham Rewards as a primary sponsor on Ryan Newman’s No. 6 Ford Mustang.
Wyndham Rewards will make their 2020 debut as a primary sponsor at the 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 23rd.
“It’s great to have Wyndham Rewards back on board,” said Newman in a team press release, who powered the No. 6 Ford back into the NASCAR Cup playoffs in 2019. “They will be on the car at Las Vegas and hopefully we can reward them with a strong run and a trip to victory lane.”
Newman has a consistent track record at Las Vegas Motor Speedway having finished inside the top-10 in 10 of his 21 starts, including a top-10 finish in the fall of 2019.
Unfortunately, in 2019, Newman had a costly mistake at the Roval from Charlotte Motor Speedway at the end of September that ended his playoff hopes.
However, Newman capped off last season having earned three top-five and 14 top-10 finishes with a season best finish of second coming at Talladega Superspeedway in October with Wyndham Rewards on his No. 6 Ford Mustang.
Wyndham Rewards first joined Roush Fenway Racing as a primary sponsor in 2018 with NASCAR Champion Matt Kenseth before continuing their partnership with Newman and his team for in 2019.
In addition to Wyndham, Oscar Mayer extended their sponsorship with Roush Fenway Racing and Ryan Newman through 2021 back at the end of October. Their first race for the 2020 season will begin with the TicketGuardian 500 at Phoenix Raceway in March.
The NASCAR Cup Series season kicks off with the Daytona 500 on Sunday February 16 at 2:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
