With less than 10 minutes of practice on Friday due to rain, NASCAR has announced that the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will run a combined All-Star and Open practice tomorrow.

Cup teams will practice from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday.

With a new aero package being tested this weekend, NASCAR opted to add the Saturday practice. During the rain delays on Friday, many drivers were petitioning NASCAR to have a practice on Saturday morning.

“Yeah, if we got a practice session I think you would see cars get in a pack or at least behind teammates to kind of switch it up a little bit within your teammates maybe so you don’t tear up a lot of race cars if you are in a big pack,” Ricky Stenhouse Jr. stated after qualifying second for the All-Star Race,

The most laps ran in the Friday session was five.

There will be no TV coverage of the practice session on Saturday morning.
