Kyle Sieg has been one of the stand-out drivers early this season.
Driving the No. 28 fielded by RSS Racing, Sieg has posted back-to-back top-five finishes in the two races ran this season. He currently sits fourth in ARCA Menards Series points and has been one of the strongest running drivers so far this season. The only issue is that the team is currently telling Kickin’ the Tires that they are not running full-time.
“I’m looking forward to my first race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend,” said Sieg. “We have had a strong start to the season so hopefully we can keep the momentum going and attract a sponsor to allow me to run the full ARCA Menards Series schedule and hopefully for a championship.”
Sieg had just made his ARCA Menards Series debut last July at Lucas Oil Raceway. In that race, Sieg finished 10th but it was just the beginning of what Sieg had to offer. In his second race at Gateway, he posted a solid 11th place finish. In his last start of 2020 at Bristol, Sieg spun. That resulted in him finishing 17th.
He really flew under the radar in 2020 and coming into this year. At the annual test at Daytona, Sieg finished 31st of 56 drivers to take a lap. In the season opener though, Sieg opened eyes running in contention for the win late and earned his first top-five finish. The next race at Phoenix, Sieg kept his focus and finished one spot better than he did at Daytona in fourth. Ultimately, his improvement in just a short time has him as a listed contender for this weekend’s race.
