As the 2020 NASCAR Cup season approaches, Kickin’ the Tires takes a look at rookie Christopher Bell, driver of the No. 95 Toyota for Leavine Family Racing.

Bell will embark on his first full-time season at NASCAR’s highest level behind the wheel of the No. 95 and join a large rookie class of drivers.

The 2020 NCS rookie class includes Bell in addition to fellow competitors Brennan Poole, Tyler Reddick, Cole Custer, John-Hunter Nemechek and Quin Houff.

Bell is coming off a very successful 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season en-route to his first season at the Cup level.

In 33 starts last season behind the wheel of the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, he found victory lane a career-high eight times. He also had six pole awards, 20 top-five, and 21 top-10 finishes.

Overall, in his time spent in the NXS, Bell has amassed 16 wins, 12 poles, 41 top-five and 46 top-10 finishes in 74 career starts.

In addition to his time spent in the NXS, he made 54 starts in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series over a four-year span.

The Oklahoma native saw success in that series as well, finding victory lane seven times, tallying up six pole awards, 26 top-five and 41 top-10 finishes.

Bell also won the 2017 Camping World Truck Series Championship.

When the green flag drops next month for the 62nd annual Daytona 500, not only will Bell be making his NASCAR Cup Series debut, but it’ll be his debut for Leavine Family Racing too.

Bell’s made a combined six starts at the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway between the Xfinity and Truck Series.

His best finish is third twice both of which came during NASCAR Xfinity Series competition in July of 2018 and 2019.
