NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mason Mingus was a late add to the entry list but he made a statement early by capturing the pole for the Crosley Record Pressing 200 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
The Nashville, Tennessee native put up a fast lap during his qualifying and put his No. 11 Ford Fusion on pole for in his ARCA Menards Series East debut. He had two previous poles in the ARCA Menards Series in 37 starts. Mingus paced the famed Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway at 19.504-seconds. ARCA Menards Series East points leader Sammy Smith will start the race in second.
Smith was just seconds off from his second straight pole. .006-seconds was the gap between the two.
Daniel Dye tallies his best career qualifying effort starting the race from the third position, previous best was sixth in the season opener at New Smyrna.
Parker Retzlaff and Joey Iest round out the top-five starting spots.
Mason Diaz, Rajah Caruth, Conner Jones, Carson Kvapil, and Max Gutierrez round out the top-10 starting spots.
The Crosley Record Pressing 200 presented by Action 247 and T-Mobile will go live on the NBC Sports Gold – Track Pass at 9 p.m. ET. There will be a tape-delayed version of the race shown on NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, May 14th, 2021.
