Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie and Samaritan’s Feet will once again be teaming up on LaJoie’s No. 32 Ford for Go Fas Racing. The organization will adorn the Ford Mustang’s hood when the series races in NASCAR’s backyard at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s road course on September 29.
Samaritan’s Feet was founded in 2003 and helps provide children, as well as individuals in need of shoes.
The statistics are alarming with more than 1.5-billion people or 24% of the world’s population being affected worldwide.
Fans may or may not remember that the organization teamed up with LaJoie at Watkins Glen for the Go Bowling at The Glen on August 4. A race where LaJoie was credited with a 34th place finish after having an unfortunate engine issue.
However, even with the bad luck on track that day. The car and the driver known as SuperShoe made headlines throughout not only the garage area, but all-over social media and beyond for a couple of reasons.
First, LaJoie gave up a month’s salary to put the charitable cause he believed in on board his MENCS race car.
Secondly, at the time, through race day if a person donated any amount to the organization through LaJoie’s Hope Giver’s page he would personally write their name on his No. 32.
It proved to be a major success.
Through the small lens our day on track wasn’t great. Engine laid down early then eventually quit. But through the big lens this weekend was one of the biggest wins I’ve had in my life. Raising $115,000 through 1732 people for @Samaritans_Feet was a dream that came true. pic.twitter.com/UmLF91s7Vv

LaJoie hopes to have the same success at The Roval, and by donating $25 not only can a person get their name written on the car by LaJoie himself, but each person will be entered to win an autographed pair of race shoes from their favorite driver in something LaJoie is calling “SHOESTAKES”.
I’m so excited for “SHOESTAKES” with @Samaritans_Feet! Please check out this video, gift a pair of shoes to someone in need and enter to win your favorite driver’s shoes! pic.twitter.com/oQZvZOdFj7

LaJoie didn’t run the Roval event last season, therefore his start in the Bank of America Roval 400 from Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday will be his first using the infield road course configuration.
Heading into this weekend’s 29th event on the 2019 schedule, LaJoie has amassed one Top-10, three Top-15s, five Top-20s and 10 Top-25 finishes while currently sitting 30th in the MENCS points standings.
